Dr. Al Weatherford

I was born in South Carolina and grew up in the South.  I graduated from high school in 1986 and immediately began a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Dominican Republic.  I attended Brigham Young University where I met my wife and we were married in 1990.  After graduating from BYU, I attended Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College, School of Dentistry, in Richmond, Virginia.  I graduated in 1998.  I have four children, three girls and one boy.  While most of my family lives in South Carolina, we moved to Illinois in 2004 to be closer to my wife’s family.

I have always wanted to be a dentist.   When I was a little boy I would say to my mother, “I’m going to become a dentist when I grow up.”  I have found that it gives me great satisfaction to help people understand the importance of good oral health, and then provide quality dental care that I believe will serve them for a lifetime.
